Degree qualified or equivalent, plus substantial relevant experience. Sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering, stress and vibration analysis Demonstrated capability for interfacing with customers. Can define, re-engineer and review Company Structural Processes. Good commercial and financial understanding. Negotiating and influencing skills. Strategic planning capability. Excellent problem solving skills. Highly developed communication skills: able to communicate verbally and in writing at Board level. Experience in engineering in defence or related industry. Well-developed planning and organisation skills and project management expertise. Able to provide technical leadership to others. Proven record in conducting successful technical investigations and research. Able to develop links with other technical specialists, including outside the company, and to network effectively on an international basis. Knowledge and experience of Def. Stan. 07-85 Experienced in classical and Finite Element Structural Analysis and preferably has used the following tools, NASTRAN, PATRAN, MathCAD, Pro/Engineer
